App Store adds Game Center games section

If you’re trying to keep track of all the newly updated, Game Center enabled games for iOS 4.1, look no further than the App Store where Apple has gone and created a special page just to list them for your viewing — and buying — pleasure. There’s about a dozen and half games now but we’re guessing it will fill out quickly now that iOS 4.1 is live. Apple just wants you to be happy. It wants your hardware to play nicely with your software, your apps to be malware free and your user experience to be as smooth as a baby’s butt. This burning desire to deliver perfection endears Apple to its fan base. But some App Store developers say that Apple’s quest for quality cramps their creativity, and thus, has resulted in apps that aren’t living up to their full potential. The “Dos and Don’ts” for developers are spelled out in the Terms of Service that app creators are required to sign in order to create Apple-approved applications.

The new iOS 4.1 update for iPhone and iPod touch is out. The update–for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod touch family (except the first generation model)–will enable users to utilize the High Dynamic Range photography capabilities of the devices, as well as Game Center (limited to the iPhone 4 and 3GS) and HD video uploading to YouTube (limited to the iPhone 4 and latest iPod touch 4th-generation). To get iOS 4.1, plug in your device to its host computer and keep clicking “Check for Update” until iTunes finally lets you have a piece of that 4.1 pie. If your phone is currently jailbroken, you might want to skip out on this update. So, why are you still staring?
